Our Hiring Process

Step 1: After you have sent in your application

  • Our recruiters review and assess your resumé, we answer all applications personally within 2-4 weeks
  • The recruiters meet with the hiring manager to go through the short list of candidates
  • A phone interview is conducted with the top applicants by the hiring manager

Step 2: Interviews

All interview routes at Wordapp consist of two to three interviews rounds, conducted within 1-2 weeks after the phone interview. The interviews aim at assuring proper fit to the company and the role.

Introduction interview – during this interview we introduce you to the company and give you the chance to introduce yourself and have you tell about your relevant experience. During this interview, we are mostly focused on your CV.

    • The goal of this interview is to determine whether you are the right fit for the company
    • Prepare for this interview by reading up on Wordapp, the executive summary, and our mission and vision. Prepare how your experiences show that you are the right fit for the Wordapp team.
    • This interview takes ±45-60 minutes
    • It will be attended by the recruiter and two other company representatives.

Role specific interview – during this interview we will tell you more about the role and question you to understand whether you would be right for the role.

    • The goal of this interview is to determine whether you are right for the role
    • Prepare for this interview by coming up with clear examples of previous experience that you feel are important for the role you are interviewing for
    • This interview takes ±45-60 minutes
    • It will be attended by the hiring manager and two other company representatives

The final verdict – during this interview you will meet some more of your future colleagues who will drill you about any questions we may have and to make sure you have all your questions answered.

    • The goal of this interview is to make sure we are 100% synched
    • Prepare for this interview by re-reading the executive summary and writing down any questions you may have
    • This interview takes ±30-60 minutes
    • It will be attended by the CEO and two other company representatives

Step 3: Reference check

The recruiter will request the following information from you:

  • Two work references
  • Identification to process a background check with SGK

Step 4: Job offer

There is much to take into account when considering employment, including:

  • The company’s culture
  • Financial compensation for the position
  • The benefits package
  • Living in Istanbul
